EA SPORTS FIFA Continues to Bring the Most Authentic and Innovative Global Football Experience to Players Worldwide

Electronic Arts (NASDAQ: EA) and LaLiga have announced today a long-term collaboration, which will continue to provide EA SPORTS™ FIFA players with unprecedented originality over the next ten years. As a result of the contract renewal, Laliga will retain EA SPORTS as its exclusive Official Video Gaming Partner, as both companies continue to entrench themselves as Global Leaders in the provision of esports content. This involves a mutual dedication to grow the number of esports participants and enthusiasts using  LaLiga Santander, LaLiga ‘s official esports competition.

The new agreement coincides with an increase in world spectatorship and participation in ESPORTS FIFA as football enthusiasm has experienced an unprecedented spike. The most widely played game in franchise history is the Console and PC versions of EA SPORTS FIFA 20. Year-on-year, the number of unique players has increased by 10%, with daily active player participation hitting an all-time high. More than 12 billion minutes of EA SPORTS FIFA content have been viewed since its debut on Twitch- which is the equivalent of more than 133 million regular soccer matches. Users are watching record EA SPORTS FIFA games at its best. The global EA SPORTS FIFA Stay and Play Cup, broadcast to millions across over 100 countries, has also contributed to the 260 percent annual growth * in EA SPORTS FIFA content viewers.
