DreamHack and Currys PC World Announce Partnership for 2020 UK Championship League of Legends

STOCKHOLM — DreamHack, the leading festival of gaming lifestyle, and Currys PC World, the UK’s largest electric retailer, have confirmed a collaboration for the UK League of Legends Championship 2020 (UKLC). The funding will continue until the UKLC expires in August.

The UKLC season started on 14 June 2020 and features eight UK and Ireland teams in June , July and August over an eight week span. The eight teams will participate in a round-robin double best-of-one format, with the top four teams advancing to the playoffs. The teams and players will be paid £ 20,000 for participation in UKLC. In addition, UKLC ‘s two top-scoring teams will have the opportunity to compete to win a place in the Northern League of Legends Championship (NLC) with a professional football mirroring structure.
