The Global Esports Federation And Dentsu Establish Strategic Partnership

Today the Global Esports Federation has announced a strategic partnership for promoting global development and growth of the esports industry with Dentsu Inc.

Chris Chan, President, Global Esports Federation commented on the partnership; “We are certain that this strategic partnership will strengthen the future prospects of the GEF, expanding the vital work that the team has already established. We look to Dentsu for their expertise to bring together the best of esports and sport, further fulfilling our mission to elevate esports and the world’s esports ecosystem.”

The GEF was launched in December 2019 with the purpose of becoming the voice and authority of the esports movement worldwide. Diverse leaders from esports, sports associations and traditional athletes join the Federation with the goal of building a sustainable ecosystem for esports. Tencent, who is the GEF ‘s Global Founding Partner, is a member of the Japan Esport Union (JeSU). The representative director of JeSU, Hideki Okamura, had been recently appointed to the Board of GEF.

In the Strategic Partnership, joint efforts will be focused on developing new marketing programs and esports events. Dentsu will collaborate with JeSU to increase the credibility, legitimacy and prestige of the esports industry, through its experience and skills to work together with several game publishers, business partners and various International Organizations.
