The LCS today announced their new, exciting partnership for the Summer-split with Verizon!
Verizon is by no means a stranger to the esport and gaming industry. In January, the ground breaking Verizon 5G training centre, the first of its kind in the world of esports, was unveiled by Dignitas and Verizon.
With their new partnership formalized, Verizon’s WIDEBAND NETWORK 5G is being brought to LCS as their official 5G wireless network provider.
LCS intends to explore creative ways to utilize Verizon’s 5G network over the next few years to modernize and improve the overall experience for players and fans throughout the league. LCS expressed their joy at Verizon pioneering the first ever, presenting partnership for Academy Rush as well as post match interview segments.
Once matches are resumed, more collaboration with Verizon concerning the LCS studios can be expected.
Summer Split is just the starting point this exciting journey with Verizon and there are high expectations see where the new partnership takes LCS (and LoL esports) in going forward.
