The winning team and runners-up will then progress to compete in the NLC. Munster Rugby Gaming, Bulldog Esports and London Esports are some of the major organizations involved with many of the other great teams also competing.

Meanwhile, the NLC will begin on June 16th with twelve of Northern Europe’s best teams competing, with expectations for the playoffs to be held early in August. The games, featuring teams the likes of  Fnatic Rising, BT Excel, Barrage Esports and MnM Gaming will be playing in games on Tuesday and Wednesday nights. With having attained so many great successes in a number of other sports titles, this is an excellent step forward for BBC.

Commenting on the notice, BBC Sport Head of Digital Ben Gallop:

“When it comes to esports, it doesn’t come much bigger than League of Legends and we’re very excited to see all teams in action throughout this summer period. Along with all the live sport that is about to resume on the BBC soon, this coverage over the coming weeks shows our ongoing commitment to esports.”
