Beastcoast is the first esports company to join the creative, dynamic stable of Techstar’s and is the first of its kind to take part in this category of technology incubator. The collaboration offers Beastcoast the funding it gets from leading sports and media marketing and business growth services to help the organization expand quickly.

Techstars is a globalized funding and innovation forum that seeks to link developers, investors, companies and communities to create a more prosperous and connected world with a special sector family of starters and supplementary venture funds. The portfolio now spans a broad, inclusive variety of regions and technical issues, including space, energy, social effects, music, etc. Special tools for its sports business members, including Pacers Sports & Entertainment, NCAA, the Indianapolis Colts and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway, are used in Techstars’s Sports Acceleration Program. ClassPass, CoachUp, Digital Ocean and PillPack have all been a big participant in the Techstars project.

Beastcoast is supporting and participating in a number of games for competitive video game players including Mortal Kombat 11, Pokemon, Super Smash Bros, Dota 2, Rainbow Six: Siege, among others.  The brand also supports live streamers and creators of content covering a range of video games genres. Beastcoast respects its brands with high-quality products, exclusive identity and authentic diversity, like Spanish for its following in South America.

Jordan Fliege

Jordan Fliegel, Managing Director for Techstars Sports, spoke highly of Beastcoast’s proven expertise in and approach to the esports space:

On behalf of Techstars Sports, I am thrilled to be backing Beastcoast in our 2020 cohort. I was extremely impressed by the considerable traction Beastcoast has made through their smart approach to the industry and relentless hustle and determination, all the more impressive given their limited funding to date. Grant and Brian are true experts in the Esports space, and we look forward to welcoming them to Techstars and to introducing them to our partners, including of course Pacers Sports & Entertainment, which operates Pacers Gaming, and is excited to be working with Beastcoast.

Grant Zinn

Grant Zinn, CEO and founder of Beastcoast, expressed his excitement and that of the Beastcoast leadership team:

Beastcoast is excited beyond words to be part of Techstars Sports’ class of 2020. We were inspired by the dedication to growth that Techstars Sports encourages, and we’re glad to be recognized for our own measured dedication to innovation and steady advancement in this highly competitive space. Our staff is more than eager to get hands-on with the resources, education, and networking that Techstars Sports Accelerator Program offers. Both throughout and beyond this program, we at Beastcoast are looking forward to joining Techstars to further solidify our success in esports as a leading name among esports organizations.
