League of Legend Superliga Orange (SLO) team Mad Lions, owned by Canadian esports organisation Overactive Media (OAM), has announced its conclusion of an agreement with Imagin, Spain’s leading fully online bank, to become the exclusive financial sector service provider for the franchise. The agreement will commence with immediate effect and is the first of its kind to be concluded between an SLO franchise and a finance sector partner.

The two brands have teamed up with a shared purpose: to co-produce a number of innovative products and to co-host a variety of events over the length of the season.

The MAD Lions Affinity Card, the partnership’s inaugural product, is one such innovation, affording the holder access to an array of unique benefits.

The Imagin Café Play area in the centre of Barcelona will be the team’s new training facility during their visits to the city.

“Our new partner, Imagin, is an innovative brand, constantly challenging the status quo of banking and digital services. It is this outside-of-the-box thinking that will bring tremendous energy to our partnership and the way we will be activating both of our brands,” said Jorge Schnura, VP, Strategy at OverActive Media, responsible for all MAD Lions franchises.

Benjamí Puigdevall, CEO at imagin Added: “Our goal at imagin has always been to evolve beyond just being a financial app. Built on the foundation as the leading bank in youth segment, we have become a community with a focus on lifestyle.” “Our relationship with customers is more than just a bank account and financial products, it is about the sharing of valuable content and unique experiences, and this new partnership will add to our offerings.”

Chris Overholt, CEO of OverActive Media Added:  “ We are proud to add another premium brand to our growing roster of partners. “Imagin has reshaped the way Spaniards think about banking and we are excited to be working alongside their team in the coming months to bring authentic and creative collaborations to our fans.”

Home to more than 2.6million users, Imagin aims to break new ground in its value proposition, evolving from being solely a banking app to being a one-stop interactive platform offering both financial and non-financial facilities such as useful digital content and experiences for all ages. These services will be accessible to all Imagin’s registered users
