Giants Gaming has bought the historic X6tence team with an injection of 3 million Euros from their latest funding round, Vodafone Giants leads the unification of the sector, having secured a renewed sponsorship for 2020 from Font Vella and new sponsorships from Nike and Chupa Chups.
The newly acquired X6tence will be integrated into Giants Gaming Esports SL following the acquisition with its management team now forming part of the Malaga organisational chart. It now carries the National CS: GO: X6tence benchmark brand. This is a strategic maneuver that unites under one company two of Spain’s most prominent brands in the esports industry.
José Ramón Díaz , CEO of Giants Gaming, has assured that “this movement is a step that goes far beyond sports.” “Giants Gaming has been consolidating an unprecedented market leadership position in recent years, and we believe that it is time to make a change of pace and go a step further . With the acquisition of the X6tence brand and its incorporation into the project, we kick off a new stage of hope where we will work like never before to reformulate the rules of esports”.
This move has resulted in an increase of Giants Gaming staff to 90 employees, 70% of whom consist of players and coaching staff. The company has managed to increase its social media presence to more than 19 million heterogeneous profiles without compromising its values. Giants Gaming now boasts more than 7,650,000 subscribers on YouTube, 3,565,000 on Twitch, just shy of 3 million followers on Instagram, 2,325, 000 on Twitter, a further 2,693,000 on Facebook, 24,500 on discord and more than 5 thousand on TikTok.
