Gambling Commission investigation into systemic failures in player protection at PT Entertainment Services (PTES) leads to company closure

The Gaming Commission has today released the findings of a PT Entertainment Services (PTES) inquiry, which used to deal with www.winner.co.uk and titanbet.co.uk.

The Gambling Commission reported today the results of a report on the PT Entertainment Services (PTES, also known as www.winner.co.uk and titanbet.co.uk), which revealed systematic player security deficiencies.

After contacting the family of a man who took his own life tragically at 25 aged in April 2017, the regulator started an investigation in March 2019. While PTES abandoned its license during the inquiry, the Commission determined that the conclusion of the inquiry and the public publication of its findings were in the public interest.

The inquiry of the Commission found that PTES was handling its social obligations and its anti-money laundering processes with significant organizational deficiencies. The Commission agreed with the young man in question that, although it was well informed that some of its Debit Card transactions had been denied, the company refused to perform any responsible gaming consumer experiences. The PTES even granted him the VIP status without checking to encourage him to invest the amounts he played with – both serious and inappropriate defaults.

More general failings were also noticed in PTES ‘s interacted with its largest spending customers. If not, a financial penalty of £ 3.5 million should have been levied by the Board to determine whether any penalties were necessary. The Commission aims to investigate the role of key persons in PTES who continue to hold personal permits and take any relevant measures until further inquiries are concluded.

“It’s a terrible case that came to light after my interaction with the young man’s family, who took his own life very tragically, Neil McArthur, Chief Executive of the Commission, said. We are very grateful that you have been working with us in such a terrible circumstance, and we may appreciate what happened. “We have the bravery to thank you for bringing the case to our attention.

“Although PTES has ceased operating, our inquiry was concluded and our findings released as all the operators must be taught the lessons of that unfortunate event.”

“We start with our investigations on the role of key people in PTES. As a consequence, at this point talking about the individual situation would be inappropriate.
