Twin River Announces Reopening Of Its Hard Rock Biloxi Casino

Implements Comprehensive Health and Safety Protocols to Facilitate Reopening

The reopening of the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Biloxi in Biloxi, MS (‘hard rock biloxi’), effective thursday, 21st May, was today confirmed by Twin River worldwide holdings, Inc. (NYSE: TRWH) (The Business or ‘Twin River’). Biloxi Hard Rock comprises nearly 20 percent of the company ‘s present assets and is the second largest casino operation.

In close collaboration with state authorities and public health officials in Mississippi, Twin River has developed robust property specific health and safety policies. Further information on these health and safety procedures is available on the website at www.hardrockbiloxi.com. These procedures are part of the overall reopening program of the company, COVID-19, the elements of which are planned to match or surpass all standards defined by the CDC.

“Our ability to reopen Hard Rock Biloxi is a testament to the hard work of our team during this pandemic and we were encouraged by the first day results which, even with reduced hours and significant safety protocols in place, generated slot revenue volumes approximately double those of the same day last year,” said George Papanier, President and Chief Executive Officer. “While it is only one day of performance, we are excited and thankful to welcome back our valued team members and loyal customers to an environment that meets or exceeds CDC guidance. We appreciate the collaborative nature of our regulatory relationships in Mississippi, and we will continue to work closely with regulators and public health officials in other states to ensure the timely reopening of our other properties as soon as it is deemed safe to do so.”

The company is currently planning for resumption of gaming activities with reference to its six casinos in Rhode Island, Delaware and Colorado, Twin River, and the relevant state authorities and representatives of public health work in close partnership to develop a detailed re-opening scheme for its other properties. This includes, inter alia, compulsory inspection of team members and visitors on entrance to premises, thermal cameras, the compliance of social distancing rules, including spacing between VLTs and minimal to no initial table games, regular clean-up and sanitizing procedures for all locations, mask safety standards and signs for public visibility. Once the necessary permits are received, the organization will have updated details on the reopening of these additional properties.

Mr. Papanier continued, “As we reopen our properties, we believe we will benefit from our status as a regional gaming company that is largely focused on local and regional visitation rather than air travel, destination or convention business. As such, we believe we are well-positioned to resume our growth trajectory and drive results upon resuming full operations.”
