The International Esports Federation (IESF), as it aims to build more opportunities for collaboration within the Esports Community, has signed an MOU for WESCO (Community Esports Consortium).

The MOU, signed by IESF chairman Vlad Marinescu and WESCO chairman Daniel Cossi, set the foundation for cooperation between the two organizations to promote unity within the ecosystem of the sport.

“This MOU marks a significant moment in the unification of esports,” says Vlad Marinescu, President of the IESF. “Unification, collaboration and recognition are our priorities at the IESF. This agreement meets all three targets simultaneously. I would like to welcome Mr. Cossi and thank him for his contribution so far to Esports. WESCO and the IESF will work together to bring positive benefits to all stakeholders on different projects around the world.

We are looking forward to collaborating with more entities that have the same objectives as IESF which are to protect Esports athletes, ensure mental health and promote physical health as well, and also the recognition of Esports as a sport globally via the international federation and nationally via the national associations through a partnership with each country’s sports authority.”

This move is part of a wider IESF strategy to create a stable and integrated umbrella for the Esport Ecosystem that involves all stakeholders and interests and will enable Esport as a sport and industry to reach its full potential.
