The Gaming Service License (“License”) has been received for online pool betting from the Malta Gaming Authority (“MGA”) By Esport Entertainment Group, Inc, which has a license for online gambling focused upon esport wagering and 18+ Gaming. The license issued on 30 April 2020 will be valid for a period of 10 years, subject to Regulatory Provision; it is possible to extend it for another 10 years by MGA.
IMPORTANCE OF MALTA GAMING LICENSE
After its first license in 2000, Malta was one of the first European countries to permit and regulate online gambling. License holders benefit from European onshore status, as well as, advertising across the EU.
Moreover, the world-famous and efficient iGaming regulatory framework in Malta provides players and partners with the highest rates of trust and confidence to know that they are managing on-shore jurisdiction whose legislation is in line with relevant EU and international agreements.
Grant Johnson, CEO of the Esports Entertainment Company added, “With our Malta gaming license, this is yet another big achievement. Fresh off our announcement of a Binding LOI to acquire Argyll Entertainment last week, we are now in the early stages of executing an aggressive growth plan that contemplates both organic and acquisition growth strategies throughout 2020. This Malta License will be an important part of our growth plan.”
